About Me

Hello! My name is Rachel Grace and I'm thrilled you visited my shop.

The idea behind Gracefully Uncharted began a few years ago in the middle of Alaskan wilderness where I first adopted the #liveuncharted mantra for my life.

While I currently call Wisconsin home, adventure usually takes me all over the country at least once or twice a year and as such - my inspiration comes from many places. To me, Gracefully Uncharted is about the ever evolving adventure that life is, not only the challenge ahead but also the beautiful journey we take to get there - no matter how "unconventional" it is. I seek each day to find joy in the small moments, cherish simplicity, adopt sustainability, laugh at adversity, and live uncharted.

I hope you find those same sparks in my products and embrace a little bit of uncharted in your life.

Uncharted Wear

Growing up, I spent more time outside than in and seldom could be found with shoes on (despite living on a small hobby farm). I'm beyond grateful for this childhood as it set me up for a life of continual amazement at the world around us. Alfred Wainwright wrote "There's no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing" in his 1973 book Coast to Coast - and I happen to agree.

Outdoor gear has come a long way in the last couple of years, but it didn't change the fact I still struggled to find pieces that truly kept me warm but also fit my desired aesthetic. So, I started knitting, sewing, and testing each piece I created, incrementally tweaking until the final product was exactly what I wanted. As someone who also manages Raynaud's Syndrome (abnormally poor circulation to extremeties in the cold) you can be sure my standard was very high when it came to products I created and how warm they kept you!

Uncharted Apothecary

Herbalism has been as integral to humanity as water, like so many others I struggled with severe acne my entire adolescence and even into early adulthood. OTC products only seemed to flair my outbreaks up more and even after seeking out prescription level treatment options there didn't seem to be a light at the end of the tunnel that wasn't a train.

I knew there had to be a better option and so I devoured every piece of knowledge I could on the matter of skincare which led me to slowly began swapping out or even making my own products.

Fast forward a few years later, after making products for friends/family and earning my herbalist license in 2020 I decided to open Uncharted Apothecary and share my "back to nature" creations!
